The steel stair railings were sprayed with anti-rust paint last of all.
On the Saturday evening twelve days before term, the school held an open house and about 140 families came to walk through the new building. Khun Orn had run every air conditioner all day and placed reed diffusers along the corridors. When the doors opened, the first thing everyone met was a sharp, sweetish solvent smell, strongest on the third floor where the labs are.
