After the last rainy season, a southern province faced simultaneous dengue and disease outbreaks across many districts. The provincial administration (อบจ.) and its health division saw the same problem every year: when an outbreak hit a remote district, central teams took days to arrive with sprayers, by which time disease had spread.
This year the อบจ. set up a new system, purchasing SOLO PORT423 mist-blower kits as equipment stationed in all 18 districts, with trained local staff, so each could respond within 24 hours without waiting for the center.
Previously the อบจ. kept sprayers centrally; a district reporting an outbreak had to request, assemble a team and travel far, taking 3-5 days to finish. Meanwhile mosquitoes bred and disease spread. Stationing machines in each district with trained staff cut response time to a few hours.
The อบจ. purchased the SOLO PORT423 ULV backpack mist blower for all 18 districts, each with staff trained in ULV spraying per Department of Disease Control standards and a 24-hour response plan.
Before: centralized machines, slow 3-5 day response, disease spread before teams arrived, some districts had none.
After: every district has its own machine and team, responding within 24 hours, outbreaks cut faster, province-wide cases down, the อบจ. recognized for proactive disease management.
"With machines in every district, we no longer run from the center. Every area is self-reliant and controls disease much faster. The best investment the อบจ. made." — อบจ. Health Division Director
